Week 2 SWWFFL Recap

Team Of The Week - The Wildcats smoked the Sharks with a 119 point week. Let's pause here and reflect on that. 119 POINTS! That's not even fair. And consider this. The Wildcats left 70 points on the bench. With the right starters they could of hit 150! Your humble commish with a 67 points per week team has to play this juggernaut this week (after getting hammered by 30 from last weeks team of the week) and lets just say I AM NOT HAPPY! I wonder if Jake Plummer is available. He's still playing right? What about Carson Palmer... oh wait... thats why I am sucking in the first place.

Tough Luck Team of the Week - This is a tie between The City 17 Freemen and the Sharks. Not much to say here, except... Have faith. LT will be LT... eventually. Steve Smith is finally back so maybe... just maybe... a win is the offing.

Top Player Of The Week - Anquan Boldin, AZ - WR owned by Ragazzi Pazzi had 140 yards receiving & 3 TDs Week 3. Rumor has it that Mr. Boldin is disgruntled and wants out of AZ. I guess maybe having a player that is disgruntled is better than one that is gruntled

The Sure It's A Win, but... Award - Another tie. This time to the Elune Sentinals & The Wildcats. Dropping 90+ points on a teams that scored 49 (The Sharks) & 30 (City 17 Freemen) is just piling on to their horrible, no good, bad luck. Will LT ever get over his toe injury? Will Steve Smith ever return to past glory? Stay Tuned...

The Leaving It in the Bench Award - (For the losing team that left the most points on the bench for the week) The Broncos - 70 points on the Bench. This could of been a win for the Broncos, with the right lineup.

Other Notable Players for Week 2 (Starters only)
The Vikings - QB - Jay Cutler (DEN) - 31 points. Is Jay Cutler the new Mr. Big Time with Peyton playing down & Brady out all year? Time will tell.
The Wildcats - RB - Brian Westbrook (PHI) - 27 points. With D. McNabb back at full strength, Westbrook is poised to be the premiere all-purpose yards guy in the league.
The Broncos - K - Nick Folk (DAL) - 14 points. Kickers with double digits in Week 2? 8. The top 2 kickers were on the bench, too.
The Wildcats - Def - Ny Giants - 18 points. Green Bay racked a stunning 23 point performance, that would netted the Broncos a win in their closely played game. Again, 7 teams had double digit defensive performances in Week 2.
