Week 3 SWWFFL Recap

Team Of The Week - The Bearpaws scored 88 to lead all scorers and beat Ragazzi Pazzi. Nobody broke 90 this week, which kind of surprising, though has the Nasty Boys not started Adrian Peterson this game would of been very different.

Tough Luck Team of the Week - This is a tough one. I think I should get it, and the Watchmen certainly have an argument after a dismal 36 point showing in week 3, but I think this weeks tough luck award should go to the Vikings, who have been furiously rebuilding, lost again this week to fall to 0-3. Here's to hoping they can get win this week.

Top Player Of The Week - Michael Turner(ATL) - RB owned by Ragazzi Pazzi had 104 yards rushing & 4 TDs in week 3. The top scorer, Ronnie Brown (MIA - RB) owned by the Elune Sentinels, scored 39, with 4 rushing touchdowns plus a fifth he threw. If the Sentinels had started home, we certainly would of had a very different team of the week.

The Sure It's A Win, but... Award - The Wildcats get a win, with their lowest output of the season thus far, winning 66-56 over the Gotham City Dark Knights. They now stand at 3-0 and are looking good for week 4. Maybe we can create a new weekly award called 'It's Better to be Lucky...'.

The Leaving It in the Bench Award - (For the losing team that left the most points on the bench for the week) The Watchmen - 82 points on the Bench. The Broncos & The Vikings were up there to with 80+ left on the bench.

Other Notable Players for Week 3 (Starters only)
City 17 Freemen - QB - Drew Brees (NO) - 21 points. Two other QB's scored more, but weren't started. Brees threw for 421 yards in a losing effort against Denver. It looks like starting your offensive players against Denver's porous defense will pay off.
The Wildcats - WR/T - Larry Fitzgerald (PHI) - 16 points. Fitzgerald or Boldin are looking like must starts!
Elune Sentinels - K - Josh Scobee (JAC) - 13 points. Scobee also kicked in a last minute one to get a win @ Indy.
Vikings- Def - Philly - 20 points. 6 defenses scored 15 or more points last week.
