No Live Blog TONIGHT!
There will be no live blog tonight, since the Colts without PAYton are clearly going to get smashed by the Stillers. This will be this weeks most boring game....

Ummm What?
The PAAYTRIOTS traded Randy Moss to Minnesota for 3rd round pick? Really? Did Tahmmeh Turrific have something to do with this? Does this bode well for people carrying Wes Welkeh on their roster?

New Edicts from The Office of The Commisioner...
The Indianapolis Colts shall be called The INDY OUCH for their numerous injuries and for how ignominiously they gave up 231 yards against Arian Foster and the Texans. Seriously, the zone blocking scheme has been around for 30 years (or longer). Did the OUCH defensive coaches just learn about it?
Rex Ryan will henceforth be called The Kiter for writing checks his team can't cash. Really, Coach Ryan, The J..E..T..S.. JETS JETS JETS are a Superbowl team? Which leads us to;
Mark Sanchez shall be referred to as The DOE, for his 'deer in the headlights' look when being rushed by opposing defenses.
From now on, all former USC quarterbacks will be called Used To Be A QB, for their inability to understand that PAC-10 (12 soon) are not always the creme de la creme. Dominating teams like Washington State is like John Elway (All Hail Number 7) playing against a Pop Warner team. This does not apply to Carson Bangle Palmer.
One last USC jab, from this point forward, Reggie Bush shall be referred to as "Can't Haz Heisman" for giving up his Heisman trophy as an "act" of contrition.
That is all

Season 3 of the Southwest Wyoming Fantasy Football League
Hello everyone and welcome to the third season of the SWWFFL! We have some league changes and new scoring options, so be sure to read this closely.
Draft & Keeper Players:
Don't forget the draft on Saturday (September 4th) at 2:00 PM MDT (1:00 PDT). We will be meeting in Room 310 at the BOCES if you want to attend the draft in person. I will have a dial in number set up by Friday and will email you that information.
If you are declaring a keeper player, I need you to email me the players name by Saturday morning. If you choose not to keep a player, you will be allowed an extra draft round after the conclusion of the regular draft to complete your roster.
We will running the draft in reverse snaking order (1 through 8, 8 through 1, etc.). Draft order is based on order of finish from last season:
1. Gotham City Dark Knights (jay white)
2. Bearpaws (brian tanner)
3. Wildcats (tucker white)
4. Ragazzi Pazzi (diane white)
5. The Watchmen (jason white)
6. THE SHARKS (dave elliot)
7. Vikings (mike williams)
8. Legal Beagles (chris lym)
Roster Changes:
We have dropped the defensive player position.
Scoring Changes:
We have several new scoring changes. They are as follows:
Defense & Special Teams
Will be rewarded 6 points for INT, Punt & Kickoff returns.
Will be rewarded 1 point for every 25 return yards
Wide Receivers/Tight Ends
Will awarded 1 point for every reception
Performance Scoring
This season will introduce performance scoring for the QB/RB/WR/TE positions. These positions will be awarded additional points for yards over a set value. These points are awarded one time only. Maximum points awarded if a player meets all performance values will be 15 points. This performance scoring is as follows:
Quarterbacks:
+5 points for 350 yards (one time only)
+5 points for 400 yards (one time only)
+5 points for 450 points (one time only)
Running backs:
+5 points for 125 yards (one time only)
+5 points for 150 yards (one time only)
+5 points for 175 yards (one time only)
Wide Receivers/Tight Ends
+5 points for 125 yards (one time only)
+5 points for 150 yards (one time only)
+5 points for 175 yards (one time only)
League Setup:
The league has been divided into two four team divisions. Division membership was set by random draw.
Playoffs:
Since we only have 8 teams in the league this year, we are cutting the season back to 14 weeks, with playoffs being played in weeks 15 & 16. Only the top two teams in each division will make the playoffs. This means only four teams will be in the playoffs.
Weekly Transactions:
The weekly maximum for roster changes is 4 add/drops per week
That's everything for now. See you all on draft day! Don't forget to send me your keeper player before the draft.

The Commish Sez: New edicts from the commisioner
I have added two new edicts to the list. They are as follows:
5. Terrell Owens must not be referred to by anything but "He who shall not be named" until he either retires or is traded to another team.
6. Clinton Portis will henceforth be called "Fantasy Player of Next Week" for his potentially devastating but never materializing fantasy point potential.

8:55 - The commish sez: If you need to make a change now's the time to do it! I did get a phone call last night from the manager of the Elune Sentinels who are without internet access today to make change should Brian Westbrook (RB-Phi) not start. If you need a last second change, let me know before the 11:00 (MST) games. As always the injury report is here...
Remember, you can always change your starting lineup, provided the players you wish to swap have not started yet.

Week 1 - Monday Morning. The Pain is Real.
Good Monday all. You may have noticed a recurring theme when various members of this blog have been covering games on NBC, and that is, why so many Jay Leno ads? I got up this morning and put on the Today show and the Leno assault continued.
Your pain has not gone unnoticed. The inimitable bloggers over at Deadspin are just as pained by this development as you are. Article here: Dear NBC, DIE (NSFW).
As if that was not enough pain, here are your Monday scores.
(winners in red, remaining players in parenthesis)
GC Dark Knights: 55 (0) - Elune Sentinels: 62 (2)
Vikings: 85 (0) - WildCats: 68 (2)
Bearpaws: 88 (1) - Hard Knocks: 96 (3)
The Sharks: 62 (2) - Ragazzi Pazzi: 83 (0)
The Watchmen: 59 (2) - Legal Beagles: 81 (1)
Don't forget the live blog tonight and that we have 2 games for this Monday! See you later.
