Week 1 SWWFFL Recap

Team Of The Week - Ragazzi Pazzi with their very impressive 103 point game against the Sharks. It's looking like the Nasty Boys have a terrific one-two punch with Adrian Peterson & Michael Turner, who combined for an eye-popping 51 points. I am really looking forward to the week 4 matchup against The Broncos, whose own RB tandem scored 53 points. That game should be a jim-dandy!

Tough Luck Team of the Week - The Elune Sentinels lost Tom Brady for the year, yet still racked up 75 points in a losing effort against The Broncos. The plucky Sentinels would have beaten at least two winning teams (GC Dark Knights & The Watchmen), even with losing an all star. Let's not be to sympathetic, though. The Sentinels have Donovan McNabb waiting in the wings who was the high scoring QB of the week. Had the Sentinels started D. McNabb, they would of scored 98 points and eked out win over the tough Broncos. Seriously, though, who would of started McNabb over Brady?

Top Player Of The Week - Michael Turner, ATL - RB owned by Ragazzi Pazzi dropped 220 Yards & 2 TD's on Detroit to lead all players with 34 fantasy point in Week 1.

The Sure It's A Win, but... Award - This week the Gotham City Dark Knights got a win, but, the measly 67 points scored (Damn that Carson Palmer) would have lost to nearly every other team in the league.

Other Notable Players for Week 1 (Starters only)
City 17 Freemen - QB - Drew Brees (NO) - 24 points. All in all it was kind of a crappy week for QB's.
The Watchmen - WR/T - Hines Ward (WR - Pit) - 19 points. With QB's having an off week, WR/T's kind of sucked, too.
GC Dark Knights - K - Jason Elam (Atl) - 16 points. More than a few double digit performances from Kickers in weeks 1.
The Sharks - Def - Chicago - 16 points. Some huge performances by defenses in Week 1. Arizona & Tennessee both scored higher then Da Bears, but didn't get started. 9 defenses had double digit performances week 1.
