Tough Luck Team of the Week - We have a 3 way tie for this one. First up, The Watchmen who scored 98 points against the Wildcats, yet still lost by ten. The Elune Sentinels continue to put up good numbers, but have been playing the tough teams as of late and having some heartbreaking losses. Finally the City 17 Freemen, dealing with injuries, trades and byes, lost by two points to a team that only scored 49 points.
Top Player Of The Week - Steven Jackson (STL) - RB owned by the Gotham City Dark Knights had a 35 point game in a week that featured 6 running backs in the top ten of all top scoring players in week 7. Jackson had 3 td's to go along with 160 rushing yards against Dallas. A big honorable mention to Lendale White (RB-TEN) for the Watchmen, who had 3 td, 140 yard rushing game for 32 fantasy points.
The Sure It's A Win, but... Award - This one goes out to the Bearpaws, who managed a win with scoring only 49 points. Just goes to show you that sometimes winning can just.... happen. As a side note, good job Bearpaws. Five other teams have scored more total points than you, yet you are in second place. Way to get the most out of your starting lineups.
The Leaving It in the Bench Award - (For the losing team that left the most points on the bench for the week) The Vikings - 72 points on the Bench. No one else really left more on the bench. In fact, no one broke 35, except for the Vikings.
Other Notable Players for Week 7 (Starters only)
- GC Dark Knights - QB - Matt Cassell(NE) - 19 points. Not a great week for QB's. Obviously.
- Wildcats - WR/T - Calvin Johnson(DET) - 23 points. Calvin Johnson was the only WR/TE to break 20 points this week.
- Tie - Ragazzi Pazzi, The City 17 Freemen - K - John Kasay(NO), Robbie Gould(MIN) - 13 points. These two lead all kickers, with 8 kickers scoring ten or more points.
- Wildcats - Def - NY Giants - 18 points. Chicago scored a mind boggling 22 points in Week 7, but the Sharks didn't see fit start them.
