Week 4 Recap (And Week 3, and Week 2)

Week 4
Team Of The Week - This week the Gotham City Dark Knights got off the shnide by dropping 124.5 points on THE SHARKS! The GCDK had a great week with all their players, but the SF defense racked up a whopping 39 point performance to catapult the heretofore winless Knights to a win.Tough Luck Team of the Week - The Bearpaws scored 97.50 points. The second highest point total of the week. They played Hard Knocks. They are now the number one 0-1 team. Good luck next week Bearpaws. An honorable mention goes out to The Sharks who lost by one lousy point to their hated rivals, Ragazzi Pazzi.
Top Player Of The Week - SF 49ers Defense - 39 Points. It's not very often or all that common that a team defense leads all scorers for the week. This raises the important question. Is the Niners D that good or do the St. Louis Lambs suck that bad?
The Sure It's A Win, but... Award - This award is proudly given to Ragazzi Pazzi. The Bad Boys are 3-1 after beating Hard Knocks who scored a very sad 44.5 points on a very difficult week. A second shout out here goes to Legal Beagles, who also had the Fantasy blowout of the week, routing the Vikings 116-68.5
The Leaving It On The Bench Award - I am discontinuing this award, since so many people have changing their lineups throughout game day, I can't always tell who was on their lineup at the beginning of the week. This award will be replaced with the What Could Of Been Award, awarded to the team with the greatest discrepancy between their starting lineup and optimal lineup (winners or losers are both eligible).

Other Notable Players for Week 4 (Starters only)
  • Legal Beagles - QB - Peyton Manning(Ind) - 21 points. Interestingly enough, two other QB's broke 20 this week that were involved in the Vikings vs Legal Beagles game. Ben Rothlisberger & Aaron Rodgers matched Peyton's Week 4 points.
  • Elune Sentinels - RB - Ronnie Brown(Ari) - 23 points. Miami's Wildcat offense continues to score stats if not wins for the Fish. Knowshon Moreno (Pit) was this weeks high RB with 30, but was a free agent. Not anymore.
  • Legal Beagles - WR/TE - Steve Smith(NYG) - 25 points. The other Steve Smith had a huge day against KC's crappy secondary and big plays from the Littlest Manning. It's beginning to look like The Other Steve Smith is the Giants new go to guy, replacing the now incarcerated Plaxico "Sweat Pants" Burress.
  • Vikings - Defensive Player - Patrick Willis(LB-SF) - 19.5. Patrick Willis spearheaded a stellar defensive performance with 3 sacks and fumble recovery for a TD
  • Vikings - K - Lawrence Tynes(NYG) - 11. Two other kickers scored more, but were not started.
Week 5 Byes - Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, San Diego Chargers
