Team Of The Week - Hard Knocks scored 120 points to kick off their inaugural season in the SWWFFL, behind an all-time 6 touchdown performance by Drew Brees. Wow. Welcome to the league, Hard Knocks. (the rest of the league grumbles - Yeah, sure welcome to the league...)
Tough Luck Team of the Week - The Bearpaws scored 97.50 points. The second highest point total of the week. They played Hard Knocks. They are now the number one 0-1 team. Good luck next week Bearpaws. An honorable mention goes out to The Sharks who lost by one lousy point to their hated rivals, Ragazzi Pazzi.
Top Player Of The Week - Tie - Hard Knocks-Drew Brees (QB-NO) & Ragazzi Pazzi-Adrian Peterson (RB-Min). Two 37 point performances to by two top draft picks. Drew Brees throws 6 tds against the perennially inept Detroit Kittens. Adrian Peterson demonstrates why he is the Number 1 fantasy player with a 3 td & 180 yard rushing performance.
The Sure It's A Win, but... Award - I am not sure who to give this one to, being the first week of the season and all. Let's award a tie to The Elune Sentinels & The Legal Beagles for beating two very weak performances by the GC Dark Knights and The Watchmen, respectively.
The Leaving It On The Bench Award - (For the losing team that left the most points on the bench for the week) The Watchmen- 52 points on the Bench. With the right lineup, The Watchmen might of made a run at the Legal Beagles

Other Notable Players for Week 1 (Starters only)
- Wildcats - WR/T - Reggie Wayne(Ind) - 23 points. Reggie takes over for Marvin Harrison in style.
- GC Dark Knights - K - Neil Rackers(Ari) - 13 points. A single bright spot in a dismal 55 point performance by the GC Dark Knights.
- Elune Sentinels - Def - Philadelphia Eagles - 29 points. The Iggles rocked Carolina with 5 Ints, 5 Sacks, 2 fumble recoverys and a defensive Touchdown. I think the Elune Sentinels should send Jake Delhomme(Use to be a QB-Car) a thank you note.
- Vikings - Defensive Player - Patrick Willis(LB-SF) - 11 Tackles & 1 int by the linebacker for San Francisco shows promise for the Vikings in a tough loss this week.

Go Sharks!
It should have been a tie because a fire breathing shark with a Mohawk should have been worth at least a point.
Hmmm... do you think Ragzzi Pazzi would get mad if I gave him a point for said mohawk sporting fire breathing dragon. It would make it a tie!
Does not think the Ragazzi Pazzi would mind in the least...
